Hobie Cat 'in

Justin lent us his Hobie cat at Pt Samson ..Port Walcott where he and his family live in the small town of Wickham. Moses had a blast burning in and out of the bay and getting up on one hull. We had to sit out the strong Easterlies before heading to Broome.

Flying Foam Passage

We travelled through Flying Foam Passage just out of Dampier. (The name sounds mysterious, but it didn't produce any "flying foam" or whirlpools much to the kids dissatisfaction) to make our way to Pt Samson. It's a relatively narrow passage between ore filled hills either side. Very picturesque.
The boys peeled pistachios for an hour or two which kept them entertained.

Archie the squid

We call Archie the squid cos he always looks like that when he was swimming. Now he has some new fins and there is no stopping him. He dives so deep we keep telling him he has to equalize or he'll blow his ears. He's under the boat here with Bat Fish hiding by the prop.
